Red Pinwheels at the DMZ

As the bicycle journey continues making progress, I’m beginning to search around for reputable charity organizations that I can funnel my donations to.  If you have any suggestions or would like to help me search, feel free to comment on this post or head over to a website like I would like to get about three solid organizations so please help out.

  1. First of all, I’m biased. I work here. However, CharityNavigator is very unbiased and they gave Convoy of Hope a 4 star ranking. We have most recently responded to disasters in Myanmar, China, the Midwest, and India. We are currently in Cuba, Haiti, Texas and Louisiana. So far, nearly 2 million pounds of supplies have been distributed to the gulf as a result of Gustav and Ike. Beyond disaster, we do a feeding program that feeds more than 18,000 children daily and trains them in nutrition and hygiene. We do water programs, we partner with education and promote sustainability. Google us. Do a google newsearch as well. Think about it.
